Fortnite Update 3.38 Patch Notes | v18.40

Epic Games has just deployed Fortnite Update 3.38 (v18.40) and we have the complete patch notes for you to go through. The update brings in the Naruto x Fortnite event alongside various bug fixes and general improvements to the game as well.

According to the developers, downtime for Fortnite Update 3.38 (v18.40) will begin at 5 AM ET (9:00 UTC) with matchmaking getting disabled about 30 minutes earlier. However, there has been no indication as to when the patch notes will be released alongside when the servers will be brought back up. Fortnite Patch Notes: Update 3.38 (v18.40)

While we still aren’t sure of what will be included in Fortnite Update v18.40, here’s a list of top issues that are rumoured to be fixed:

  • Impostors: Eliminated players cannot hear non-eliminated players during Discussion phase.
  • Framerate is limited to 120 fps in menus.
  • Unable to fire Motorboat missiles in Battle Royale/Creative after exiting Party Royale.
  • “Network Connection Lost” error when trying to join match as a spectator.
  • Collection Book entries disappearing when using Performance mode.
  • Vehicles may desync when a player exits the vehicle.

The update will also be including the Naruto collaboration Skin in the game as well.
