Visual Concepts has released the latest NBA 2K21 Update 1.005 for the next-gen consoles today on December 21, along with the complete list of patch notes. This patch is now rolling out to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

NBA 2K21 is arguably the best basketball simulation game developed by Visual Concepts and 2K Sports. Currently, the update is exclusive to consoles and surprisingly not the PS4.

The NBA 2K21 Update 1.005.00 is a hotfix update that only has two changes because we just got a massive content update last week. However, the update still is about 400 MB in size in the PS5 and about 1.7GB on the Xbox Series X/S. Here are all the changes you need to know about in the new patch:

  • Mayor’s Election – You can now vote going to your City Hall; also, you get 2x Rep.
  • It looks like issue with online play and wins not registering properly has still not been fixed.

The patch lets you get a lot more Rep points when you go to your City Hall. Moreover, online matchmaking seems to be much quicker as stats are being tracked much more rapidly now.
