EA Sports is now out with the latest NHL 21 Update 1.4 that will start rolling out tomorrow and we have the complete patch notes for your viewing pleasure. This patch is will be the first one for the year 2021, and is also being called as the January patch for NHL 21. To check out the full release notes, we have them covered below right after the jump.

This NHL 21 Patch 1.4 update will be bringing a big number of fixes to the game, and include a number of new uniform additions and changes. As player kits are updated in real life, NHL has actively incorporated these new changes in the game. We do not yet have a file size of this update, but we are sure will have it by tomorrow.

Here are the official patch notes for the NHL 21 Update 1.4 Patch that will roll out tomorrow to all the players on all supported platforms. For those curious, this NHL 21 Patch 1.4 is expected to go live at January 28th @ 10am PT – which may vary depending on what platform or console you have.


– Fixed a rare crash that would sometimes occur when loading into a Threes Eliminator game

– Fixed an issue where using the Report Content option during a game would sometimes cause the World Of Chel main menu to show up over top of gameplay

– Fixed an issue where PlayStation®5 consoles were sometimes receiving an Unexpected Error

– Fixed an issue where Private Games were not showing the 3 stars in the post-game flow

– Fixed an issue where Private games were hiding Opponent info while Club Finals was active

– Fixed an issue where users were receiving an unexpected error at puck drop in EASHL games

– Fixed a timing issue for when the EASHL wipe was being shown during the intermission highlights

– Fixed a rare issue where a Threes Eliminator game would hang when allowing the “Next Game” timer to reach 0

– Fixed an overlapping Russian text issue in the My Career Stats leaderboard

– Fixed a rare Club Finals issue where users would crash when readying up after matchmaking

– Fixed an issue where it was possible to cause the Network Performance screen to overlap the end of game menu

That’s a whole lot of updates, right? There are still several fans not happy with the NHL 21 developers releasing updates for the not-so-important things. Fans have been asking for updates to the Franchise Mode, HUT etc. We are hoping for the devs to listen to community feedback and roll out further updates.

  1. Thx! But what about adding true goalie equipment, update some more masks and maybe adding the sponsors one the player helmets ?
