Spider-Man: Miles Morales has just been updated to version 1.007. The game now allows players to play the game on 60 FPS Ray-Tracing Performance Mode. The update currently is not on the PS4. Most speculate this is due to the newly added Performance Mode option added to the PS5. We are going to be covering everything you need to know about the Spider-Man Miles Morales Update 1.007
Spider-Man: Miles Morales is an exclusive Sony PlayStation title developed by Insomniac Games and is published by Sony Entertainment. The game follows the footsteps of the mentee of Peter Parker, Miles Morales. It features realistic graphics and is the first title that brings your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man to the next-gen!
Spider-Man: Miles Morales Update 1.007
Before the update, Spider-Man: Miles Morales could be played in only two game-modes. Ray-Tracing with 30 FPS while the other was locked at 60 FPS but omitted Ray-Tracing. The locked setting looked much better in terms of accurate shadows and reflection. However, the low refresh-rate was a bummer for most serious players.
After the game has been patched to version 1.007, it now has a 60 FPS ray-tracing mode in-game. You can take a look at the option from the screenshot below:
Currently, there are no patch-notes available for the game. However, developers have confirmed that the new ray-tracing performance mode does have some caveats as well. Apparently, the scene resolution has been reduced (it is not noticeable for most users.) Moreover, reflection quality and pedestrian density have also been reduced to lock the PS5 at a stable 60 FPS with Ray Tracing.
Almost all new PS5 games will implement high-performance mode options that users can freely switch to. These options will add a new layer of unforeseen customizability in balancing visual fidelity and frame rate in consoles.
This concludes everything you needed to know about Spider-Man: Miles Morales Update 1.007, which includes 60 FPS ray-tracing support for the PS5. Stay tuned for more news!
