League of Legends: Wild Rift 1.0 Patch Notes | Lee Sin, Champion Previews, Rewards

These are the official League of Legends: Wild Rift 1.0 patch notes that will be coming out to players next week. In an announcement yesterday, Riot Games will be launching a regional open beta for the Wild Rift later this month. And now before more regions join in, the team has launched a whole bunch of new stuff.

We have covered the full list of patch notes below. Wild Rift is finally getting Lee Sin, one of the most popular champions. It was teased earlier this month at the iPhone 12 launch event. The team is also adding six new champions in the game that will be free to play next week.

Wild Rift 1.0 Patch Notes

League of Legends: Wild Rift will be getting the v1.0 update on 22nd October (PT). Once it goes live, players in the closed beta on iOS and Android devices will be able to enjoy the below mentioned new features.

Lee Sin

Lee Sin, the Blind Monk, is jump kicking his way to Wild Rift! One of League’s most popular champs for nearly 10 years, he’s sure to add a new layer of depth and mastery to the jungle, offering unparalleled mobility, outplay potential, and tons of clips for the highlight reel.

Lee Sin will be available alongside Knockout Lee Sin and Muay Thai Lee Sin, so you can flex on your foes in style.

Champion Previews

Riot Games is adding the following new six champions. They’ll be free to play between Oct 22 and Oct 27 (PT), so you can play as much as you want with them and report back any bugs or suggestions. Here are the new six champs:

  • Akali, the Rogue Assassin
  • Darius, the Hand of Noxus
  • Draven, the Glorious Executioner
  • Evelynn, Agony’s Embrace
  • Kai’Sa, Daughter of the Void
  • Seraphine, the Starry-Eyed Songstress

In-Game Rewards

In South Korea and Japan, players can log in using their existing Riot Games accounts and earn rewards based on their time and monetary investment in League of Legends on PC. There will be more information about this soon.

For the other regions in the Closed Beta who may not have Riot accounts yet, you can create and link a Riot Account, and earn rewards like champs and skins later in the year.

Road to Wild Rift

To honor the legacy and history of gaming in each Open Beta locale, Riot Games will release locally-tailored content every day on the road to Open Beta. Influencer spotlights, guides, and community highlights—you’ll have everything you need to get Rift-ready! Keep an eye out for Road to Wild Rift content to come!

Balance Changes


Archangel’s Staff
  • Mana per stack: 12 to 15
  • Bonus AD: One percent to two percent
  • Mana per stack: Eight to 10
  • Bonus AD: One percent to two percent
Tear of the Goddess
  • Mana per stack: Six to eight
Winter’s Approach
  • Mana per stack: Eight to 15

Game Systems

AFK Penalty

Riot has said that it takes AFKing “very seriously” but also understands that unexpected things may happen. Hence, the penalties for AFKing have been reduced. 

  • First AFK penalty (three to six minutes): 10-30 minutes
  • First AFK penalty (more than six minutes): 20-60 minutes
  • Further AFK penalties within seven days: Six to 12 hours
Bug Fixes

The patch has brought several bugfixes to the game. Riot has only revealed what the major ones are. 

  • Fixed an exploit with Guardian Angel allowing champs to be invincible
  • Fixed a crash on certain devices that caused crashes in the loading screen
