League of Legends: Wild Rift 1.0a Patch Notes | Balance Changes, Bug Fixes

Riot Games has just released their patch notes for the League of Legends: Wild Rift 1.0a update. This patch is the first one after the launch of the regional open beta. This means that this update is mainly based on community feedback and bugs reported by early adopters of the game. This article is going to talk about everything new in the patch notes for Wild Rift.

Riot’s latest game has taken the mobile gaming world by storm. Wild Rift has gotten extremely popular even though it hasn’t been globally released yet. The game features unique champions ported over from League Of Legends and the map itself is optimized to suit mobile’s much shorter, casual gameplay.

Wild Rift 1.0a Patch Notes

The developers have affirmed that balance changes, especially at the start of the development cycle of Wild Rift, will happen quite often. So, these will be categorized letters such as this very update. This patch focuses mainly on Xin Zhao as Riot has felt that the champion is being over-picked and is somewhat overpowered. A lot of champions have been buffed and nerfed in this patch. There has been no major re-work however.



Blitz is supposed to rely heavily on his hook to make plays, but at this point, he can just run at you even without landing a hook and still solo kill your squishes.

Base Stats
  • Health: 690 → 650
  • Health Regen per level: 1.07 → 0.8
(ULT) Static Field
  • Damage: 250/375/500 → 200/325/450
  • Silence duration: 1s → 0.5s

Vayne Wild Rift

Vayne in the Duo lane seems legit, but Vayne in the Solo lane is simply not fun to play against. Riot is making her more vulnerable by reducing her movespeed. (2) Silver Bolts is also taking a large hit, since she seemed to be doing way too much true damage, which has little counterplay.

  • Movement Speed: 330 → 325
(P) Night Hunter
  • Movement Speed bonus: [30 @ Level 1] → [15 @ Level 1] / [20 @ Level 5] / [30 @ Level 9]

  • Damage: 50/70/90/110 → 30/50/70/90

Xin Zhao (nerfed)

The clear outlier from patch 1.0, Xin Zhao’s pick rate and win rate are both very high. His full combo is sweeping foes off the map, and teammates can’t even touch him if he has his ultimate on. Riot Games is nerfing his most important stat, Attack Damage, while also making him much squishier.

  • Attack Damage: 70 → 64
  • Health per level: 115 → 105
  • Armor per level: 4.3 → 3.9
  • Magic Resist: 38 → 30
(3) Audacious Charge
  • Cast range: 6 → 5.5
(ULT) Crescent Guard
  • Cooldown: 80/70/60s → 100/85/70s

Major Bugfixes

  • Fixed an issue where bots were significantly over-peforming in Practice Mode.

October 25 Hotfix
