Remedy Entertainment has just deployed Alan Wake Remastered Update 1.01 for the un-released game. The award-winning thriller, now remastered in 4K brings in updated textures, cinematics, and audio for both the PS4 and PS5 and we have the complete file size for you.
Most remasters of games tend to be done quite nonchalantly. However, Alan Wake Remastered seems to be an exception. Almost all textures in the game have been natively upscaled to 4K alongside enhanced character models as well.
Alan Wake Remastered File Size
Both the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game will include the base game and two of its DLCs, The Signal and The Writer. While the game originally fit on a single disc and only required 8 GBs of storage, the upscaled textures certainly add to the overall file size of the new Alan Wake Remastered.
PS4 File Size
The PS4 version of the game seems to be coming in at 23.9 GB. This does include all the 4K Upscaled Textures and the two DLCs. We can expect the file size to only increase as we inch closer to the release date.
PS5 File Size
For the PS5, Alan Wake Remastered is coming in at 25.9 GB. We can expect the PS5 version of the game to feature enhanced shadows, faster loading times, and an emphasis on more vibrant lighting. The PS5 version too comes with native 4K textures and two DLCs alongside the base game.
Alan Wake Remastered Release Date
Alan Wake Remastered will be coming out on Oct. 5 on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, and the PC (Epic Games Store.)
You can pre-order the game right now on any of these platforms.
