The main purpose for having the best attackers in Pokemon GO is so you can challenge other players and take over their gyms. With that said, let’s get right into it.
Best Attackers in Pokemon GO
This list includes Pokemon depending on their sustainability, attack power, flexibility, and personal opinion. Plus, the Pokemon included in the list are quite good in every regard. Also, we didn’t include any mega evolutions but there are some Pokemon that have their shadow variant instead of the normal one. With that said, let’s get started.
Mewtwo (Shadow)
Shadow Mewtwo has a CP that goes over 4000. Along with that, he has some of the most dangerous legacy attacks like Shadow Ball and Psystrike. After trying out tons of move sets, we found that going for Confusion and Psystrike gives the best results. These moves are especially useful against normal-type Pokemon.
If you cannot run legacy moves, choosing Psychic and Focus Blast will be your best course of action. That way, you will not only be effective against normal type Pokemon, but also against Steel-type Pokemon.
However, Shadow Mewtwo is not easy to catch. Even if you manage to catch him, you will require tons of Stardust to level him up and keep him relevant. With that said, Shadow Mewtwo is still extremely good and worth it. Due to the Shadow buff, he deals 20% more damage but has a defence rating of 83%.
Rampardos
If you teach your Rampardos the Smackdown move, it will quite literally tear its way through any Pokemon standing in the way. This is mostly due to the fact that Smackdown is the fastest move in the game and it hits like a truck. Combine this with Rock Slide and you will deal the highest Rock DPS in Pokemon GO. Taking out gym leaders is extremely easy with a high-level Rampardos.
Rayquaza
Just like other legendary Pokemon, Rayquaza can be obtained through legendary raids. After successfully obtaining it, you will be rewarded with the most powerful dragon-type Pokemon. Rayquaza is extremely strong against most types of Pokemon except for ice types. Just make sure that you avoid ice-type Pokemon and you’ll be golden!

Plus, combining it with Dynamic Punch will allow you to punch your way through other Pokemon trainers. Levelling up Conkeldurr can be quite tricky and require tons of resources. Machamp
Machamp is one of the most powerful Pokemon when it comes to attacking. One of the reasons why he is so good at attacking is because most defensive Pokemon are weak to fighting-type Pokemon. As mentioned in Conkeldurr’s moveset, we recommend going for Counter and Dynamic Punch.
The best part is that Machamp isn’t nearly as hard to level up as Conkeldurr and will take less time. Catching one early will allow you to have a distinct advantage over your opponents and other defense Pokemon.
