In these caves, you will be able to find a variety of Dripstones, such as the pointed Dripstone that can be both facing up or down, and water as there are wells all over the place. How to Find Dripstone Caves in Minecraft Caves and Cliffs Update
Unfortunately, looking for a Dripstone cave is not as simple as some of the other biomes in the game however, we have prepared a list of all the possible indications you can find regarding the whereabouts of a Dripstone cave:
- Dig down below the surface and press the F3 key. Sometimes a Dripstone biome will show up. Do not that this method won’t work if you press the key on the surface.
- These caves are generated underground. There is no depth requirement to find them as they can appear at any level.
- Ravines that carve out the surface has a chance of housing a Dripstone cave.
- Cave openings on the surface can also lead you towards a Dripstone cave.
What is in a Dripstone Cave Biome?
Dripstone caves are filled with pillars and clusters of Dripstones of various kinds like the blocks or pointed Dripstones. The pointed dripstones are a commodity that a lot of people in the community hold in high regard as they are the only way of generating an endless lava source. To do this, you would need a Dripstone block and place the pointed variant below it with a lava or water source above. As the pointed Dripstone grows, it will start dripping lava or water, which can be collected by using an empty cauldron.
How to Find Dripstone Caves Faster?
To find any biome quicker once a new update has dropped, here’s what you should be doing:
- Make a new world on the latest version of Minecraft
- Choose a random seed (Leave the seed slot empty)
- Switch to creative and start digging
- If you are not able to find the biome, delete the world and make a new one!
