Madden NFL 22 is now out for everyone and the game is filled with bugs and issues that have rendered the game unplayable for most across all platforms. Therefore, we’ve compiled a list of all the Madden 22 bugs and known issues in the game including some workarounds as well.
Most of the issues jotted down below are not platform-specific, they apply to the PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox versions of the game. Some bugs are clearly specific to the next-gen consoles, but some plague the game across every console. We’ll constantly be updating this list and will be providing you with updated workarounds once we get a hold of them!
All Madden NFL 22 Bugs & Known Issues
Here’s a list (and some workarounds) of issues currently being fixed by Madden NFL 22 players. The recently released huge September 2 Update has seemed to have fixed a lot of bugs – however, a lot still remain.

No Solo Battle Reward
Issue: Even if you finish the entire Solo Battle on Legend, you do not receive your rewards, coins and packs.
Broken Origin Link / Product Code
Issue: The game refuses to run and presents you with an error from Origin and asks you for a product key
Fix: Refund the game and purchase it again.

Game Results Being Changed by CPU
Issue: Winning by a huge margin causes game results to change and get swayed by the CPU
Fix: For the time being, we are encouraging players experiencing this issue to play in a solo online cloud franchise or online cloud league.
Weekly Objectives Not Counting
Issue: Weekly objectives not being counted correctly in MUT
Fix: Go to the notification tab
Servers Cannot Process Request
Issue: Our servers cannot process your request at this time. Please try again later.
Fix:
- Visit your Roster within Madden Ultimate Team
- Visit the Lineup Adjustment Tool on the right side
- Create a New Lineup & Change to BEST TEAM OVR
- Deactivate Superstar players from your lineup
- Attempt to play a Solo Challenge game before making any adjustments to your lineup.
- Did not work? Try removing/swapping out your Team Visuals and Strategy Items and play again.
- Did not work? Try power cycling your Xbox, PlayStation, or PC & reboot your network to rule out any local connectivity problems.
Unable To Retrieve Information
Issue: [ERROR] Unable to retrieve your progression information from EA Servers at this time.
Fix: None
Playbook Not Used
Issue: Selected Playbook is not used
Fix: Repair via Origin
Team Stats and Score Reading Not Working
Issue: Team Stats and Score Reading Goes to Zero (0) in Franchise
Fix: The Sept. 2 update has fixed this issue!
FPS Cap Does Not Work
Issue: In-Game FPS Cap setting does not work
Fix: If you have an NVIDIA Control Panel, go to : NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D settings > Program Settings > Madden 22 in the drop down(may have to add it) > scroll down to “Max Frame Rate” > Set it to your desired cap

What I found that works is to go to madden game on Home Screen push the 3 line button on controller, go to manage game and add on. Once here go to saved data and delete the data for your profile. Make sure you pick delete all data not just the data on your console. After I did this MUT 22 worked just fine and you will still have all your progress on MUT. Nothing will be lost.
