ARC Raiders Update 1.20.0 is now live, bringing a focused balance pass for one of the game’s most discussed high-rarity weapons, plus a handful of practical fixes that should reduce friction during regular runs.
If you have been dealing with aggressive Il Toro range pressure, odd persistent combat audio, or collision trouble around Dam Controlled Access Zone and Spaceport, this update directly targets those pain points. It also includes an economy correction for Energy Clips crafting value.
ARC Raiders Patch Notes: Update 1.20.0
- Rawhide Outfit added.
- Two new haircuts added.
- Il Toro balancing pass:
- Developer note: The team says this tuning responds to player feedback about Il Toro DPS and range effectiveness, especially with choke setups. Their goal is to make the weapon perform more in line with its rarity, with lower baseline versatility and stronger reliance on upgrades/mods.
- Pellet damage reduced from
7.5to7. - Base fire-rate reduced from
43to38. - Base dispersion increased from
4.5to6. - Total reload time increased from
4.3sto5.7s. - Looping reload entry increased from
0.8sto1s. - Looping reload time increased from
0.5sto0.7s. - Damage loss from falloff increased from
40%to50%.
- Fixed an issue causing persistent audio from destroyed Comets and Fireballs.
- Fixed an issue where players could be pushed through a wall and get stuck in the Dam Controlled Access Zone.
- Fixed missing collision near the east elevator and under pipes on Spaceport.
- Reduced Energy Clips sell price from
1000to200coins.- Developer note: This was adjusted because Energy Clips had become unintentionally over-profitable compared to other crafts.
What This Means for Players
- Il Toro should be less oppressive at range: Lower fire-rate and stronger falloff reduce all-purpose dominance, especially outside close engagements.
- Positioning and timing matter more in shotgun duels: Slower reload behavior increases punishment windows during extended fights.
- Map traversal should feel more stable in known trouble spots: Dam and Spaceport collision fixes aim to prevent avoidable stuck states.
- Craft-economy exploits take a hit: Energy Clips are now priced closer to intended profitability.
