FromSoftware’s latest game – Elden Ring, takes a step in a different direction than its predecessors. While the core mechanics are the same as Dark Souls, Elden Ring is an open-world game that features tons of secrets, NPCs, weapons, and – of course – boss fights. Speaking of bosses, you might have heard of Starscourge Radahn. That is why this guide will take a look at what happens if you defeat Starscourge Radahn at the festival in Elden Ring.
This boss fight is extremely difficult but that’s what makes it fun. There is a lot of preparation for this boss fight as well. If you are someone who likes to do sidequests and follow the NPCs lore, then you will want to prepare ahead of time before it’s too late. With that said, let’s dive right in and take a look at what happens if you defeat Starscourge Radahn at the festival in Elden Ring.
Elden Ring: What Happens if you Defeat Starscourge Radahn at the Festival?
First of all, we suggest that you level up your character to at least 65+. While I fought Radahn at level 78, it was still an extremely difficult fight. His moveset can be quite erratic and deal an insane amount of damage. If you’re not careful, Radahn can one-shot you with his combo.
When players first see General Radahn, he will be riding a small horse. Many players felt bad for the horse since it had to carry a massive body of Radahn’s. However, in reality, the general learned gravity magic and cast it on himself. Due to this, his horse doesn’t feel his weight at all. Fun fact, Radahn’s horse is named Leonard.
How to Get to Starscourge Radahn?
Before we talk about what happens afterward, let’s take a look at how you can get to the general. First of all, you must make your way to the hot wasteland of Caelid located East of Limgrave. The whole area is filled with strong enemies that will kill you instantly if you’re not careful. Once you are in Caelid, stick to the bottom area of the map. Follow the road and you’ll come across a large castle.
At this point, there are two ways to enter this dungeon. Firstly, you can enter through the main gates and fight your way to the boss. If you don’t want to fight any enemies, use the teleporter that is conveniently situated at the entrance of the castle. From there, head up the stairs and activate a Grace Site. Now, you can go ahead and make your way forward where you’ll find various NPCs like Blaidd, Alexander, and more.
Talk to the person who is explaining the festival about a war in which General Radahn wants to die an honorable death. Once you interact with him, he will ask you if you’re ready or not. Say “I’m ready” and the gates will open. Walk past them and go down the elevator to find yourself in front of another teleporter. Use it and you’ll instantly start the boss fight.
Aftermath of Starscourage Radahn Fight
After you finally defeat General Radahn, a brief cutscene will play showing countless falling stars. The ending of the cutscene will show a star falling nearby and the whole screen will flash white. Turns out that Radahn was keeping the stars from falling using his gravity magic. Now that he is dead, all the stars are free to fall.
In the empty arena, Blaidd and Alexender – if you freed him – will be waiting to talk with you. To complete the elaborate Ranni questline, you will have to talk to Blaidd to progress to the next step. If you want to get Blaidd’s armor and sword, you’ll have to complete his quest. The falling star that you saw will finally unlock the Nokron Eternal City that you’ve been hearing all this time.
