FromSoftware’s latest game – Elden Ring – features a vast open-world that has tons of secrets hidden across the map. Players are encouraged to explore the map and find hidden powerful armor sets and weapons to make boss fights easier. Plus, there are tons of side quests and NPC which you can interact with as well.
One such NPC is Blaidd. Talking to him will trigger his quest which is quite interesting and he is rapidly becoming a fan-favorite character. With that said, let’s dive right in and take a look at how to get Blaidd’s weapon & armor set in Elden Ring.
Elden Ring: How to Get Blaidd’s Weapon & Armor Set
The armor set not only looks intimidating but also has great stats. Plus, the sword is a massive salute to the one that Guts use in Berserk. On top of that, if you want to unlock the legendary Moonlight Greatsword, you will have to complete this elaborate quest.
To find Blaidd, you must go to the Mistwood Ruins located in Limgrave. When you cross the area, you’ll hear a howling sound. After that, go to the Church of Elleh and talk to the merchant Kale. He will give you a gesture that you’ll have to use at the ruins to interact with Blaidd. At this point, you can either complete his quest line or skip it in order to start Ranni’s quest. We recommend the latter since that is more elaborate and unlocks the secret ending of Elden Ring.

Complete Blaidd / Ranni’s Quest
After interacting with Blaidd at the ruins, you should head over to the Forlorn Hound Evergaol located in South Limgrave. You can summon Blaidd and use him to defeat the Bloodhound Knight Darriwil. Speak with Blaidd after defeating the boss and he’ll tell you to go to Liurnia.
Now, progress through the game until you reach the Caria Manor. After defeating the boss there – Royal Knight Loretta – you can use the back entrance to go to the Three Sisters garden. Here, you need to talk to Ranni in her tower and she will explain that Blaidd is one of the three servants who work for her.
One thing that you need to keep in mind is that you must exhaust the dialogues of all characters until they start repeating themselves. After talking to Ranni, head over to the Siofra River in West Mistwood. Once inside, you need to hug the right wall and keep following it. Eventually, you’ll reach a Spirit Spring (where you can use Torrent to jump really high). Talk to Blaidd – who will be standing on the cliffside.
He will tell you to talk to Sorceress Sellen who can be found under Waypoint Ruins in a locked room being the Pumpkin Head boss. After exhausting her dialogues, head back to Siofra River and relay this to Blaidd.
At this point, head over to the Castle Redmane located in Southeast Caelid and defeat the Starscourge Radahn. Keep in mind that this boss is extremely difficult and you need to have strong gear and a high level. After going through the whole castle – much like Stormveil Castle – you can summon Blaidd to fight Radahn. After defeating the boss, speak with Blaidd about the mysterious falling star.
Head back to Forlorn Hound Evergaol once again and enter it. You’ll notice that Blaidd is locked inside so you must free him and talk to him. At this point, this quest becomes a part of Ranni’s questline. Her quest is extremely long and unlocks tons of interesting gear and secret bosses. We will make a guide on her soon!
After freeing Blaidd, complete Ranni’s quest and head back to Ranni’s Rise. At this point, you will notice Blaidd sitting on the nearby stairs. However, he will attack you on sight this time. You have to kill him to put him out of his misery. After killing him, he’ll drop his greatsword and his armor.
You can climb the nearby Seluvis’ Rise and get the Wolf Mask as well to complete the look. Now, you should have Blaidd’s armor set & weapon in Elden Ring.
