ARC Raiders Update 1.18.0 is now rolling out, delivering a focused round of gameplay integrity, progression, and stability fixes.
This patch is especially important for players grinding Hurricane cache routes and active quest chains, with key changes targeting safe-pocket exploits, loot pacing, and crash-prone menu behavior.
ARC Raiders Patch Notes: Update 1.18.0
- Fixed an exploit that allowed players to put weapons in a safe pocket without the Safekeeper Augment.
- Fixed an issue that allowed players to put the Snaphook into a safe pocket while in use.
- Lowered the drop rate of rare blueprints slightly and raised the drop rate for high-tier materials in First Wave Caches on the Hurricane map condition.
- Added a very hot fix for the Dam Controlled Access Zone.
- Fixed an issue where some ARC would occasionally cause performance drops.
- Fixed an issue where the final stage of the quest “Worth Your Salt” could not be completed if someone else had already done it in the same raid.
- Fixed a rare issue where players would crash when navigating to the Player Proximity menu.
Developer Note on Cache Drop Changes
According to the developer note, First Wave Caches had started overproducing blueprints as players got more efficient at tracking and looting them. Update 1.18.0 scales blueprint frequency down while raising higher-tier material drops, keeping cache runs valuable but reducing the chance of consistently walking away with 3 to 5 blueprints per session.
What Stands Out in Update 1.18.0
- Exploit pressure is reduced: Two separate safe-pocket loopholes have now been closed, including the Snaphook-in-use edge case.
- Hurricane economy is being recalibrated: The cache balance change shifts reward quality toward top-tier materials rather than frequent blueprint spikes.
- Quest progression should feel more reliable: The fix for the final stage of Worth Your Salt addresses a co-op raid blocker.
- Stability gets another pass: A rare Player Proximity crash and certain ARC-related performance dips are both targeted in this build.
- Dam Controlled Access Zone gets an immediate tune-up: The patch includes a dedicated hot fix for that area.
