Auto Shotgun
Shotguns feel generally weaker than they did in previous seasons. However, this shotgun is ideal for players that are used to the Tactical Shotgun. It has a swift fire rate and a good reload speed as well. However, it doesn’t deal nearly as much damage to make it any higher on the list. This shotgun excels if you use it at a short-range but it will almost always lose to the Stinger SMG.
Hunter Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle
The Hunter Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle is one of the best snipers we have seen in Fortnite. The higher rarities of this weapon will one-shot enemies even if you do not land a headshot. This weapon is the best for long-distance fights. Having a 2x headshot multiplier, this sniper is extremely deadly in the right hands.
Stinger SMG
Players that do not like shotguns will be delighted to know that the Stinger SMG is almost always better than them in most cases. Then why is it placed below a shotgun, you might ask? The answer to that question is because the Striker Shotgun deals more damage if you manage to land a good hit. However, the SMG is more consistent and can shred through buildings in seconds. Plus, the SMG is a good option to switch to when your shotgun is reloading.
Striker Pump Shotgun
Possibly the best shotgun in this season – alongside The Dub shotgun – the Striker Pump Shotgun deals tons of damage and can potentially one-shot enemies if you land a headshot. The major issue with this weapon is that the fire rate is quite slow. If you miss a shot, you would either have to switch to an SMG or build a cover so that you can wait for the next shot.
If you aim down sights, the bullet spread will be more focused and will have a higher chance of damaging the enemy. Having between 50-60 DPS, this is possibly the best shotgun in Fortnite Chapter 3 season 1.
MK-Seven Assault Rifle
It’s no surprise that the MK-Seven AR is the best weapon in Fortnite right now. Not only is it extremely accurate, but also deals tons of damage – especially if you get a headshot. It is a Mythic Weapon that will take some effort if you want to find it.
The MK-Seven deals similar damage to the Stinger SMG but it has a much longer range. This weapons deals between 189 and 225 DPS, which is quite a lot especially in this season. The only issue you’ll face while using this is the recoil. However, over time, you will get used to it and it won’t feel like much.
