Talk to your Agent
Once every few months, the agent will call you to check up on how you’re doing. He tells you about various things like trade offers, playtime, and contracts just to name a few. Alternatively, the player can tell their agent that they are not enjoying their current position. Your agent will convey this news to the management and if your OVR and stats are high enough, you will get the new role. To get better stats, make sure you are used to the game’s controls.
However, this can cause friction between the team and it might lead to bad relations. Also, keep in mind that you can only ask this of your agent once every year or so.
Accept the Manager’s Offer
Occasionally, players will be given an offer from the minor league manager to play out of position for a while to see what happens. Taking up on his offer is usually a good idea as the position he wants you to play in is normally needed by the major league ballclub.
After playing in that position for a while, you can tell the team how you liked the experiment. If you played well in that role, the team will take some time to make their decision and then give you an answer. They might reject it or give you a new position entirely depending on your performance.
Start Over With a New Character
Beginning your journey again can feel tedious and might sound out of the question for some players. However, if all else fails, starting over with a new character is your best bet at playing in the position where you truly want to play. Having a new character with stats that are good for the position you want to play in will be better instead of swapping mid-season and having a tough time due to stats.
