With the upcoming 25th anniversary of Diablo, the latest season will begin for Diablo 3 on December 10 at 5 PM(PDT/CEST/KST). There are tons of new additions to the game thanks to this update such as doing quests to delve deeper into Nephalem’s past. This guide will tell you about everything coming to Diablo 3 Season 25 The Lords of Hell.
There is a new mechanic being introduced to the game known as the Soul Shards. These shards allow the player to unlock their true potential and defeat the demons of Sanctuary. With that said, let’s get right into the Diablo 3 Season 25 The Lords of Hell update and see what’s new.
Diablo 3 The Lords of Hell Season 25
This update is one of the biggest updates in Diablo history. Due to it being the 25th anniversary of the Diablo franchise, Blizzard is going all-in for this update. There are a bunch of new additions and changes being made to the game so buckle up and read through this guide to know about all the new stuff in this update.
Season Theme
As aforementioned, this update allows players to go deeper into Nephalem’s past. You will be able to find Soul Shards that are inspired by the seven Lord of Hell and infuse them with your character to become stronger. Players will fight the demons of Sanctuary with the help of these shards and unlock their true power. This new mechanic sounds awesome and we cannot wait to test it out ourselves.
Cosmetic Rewards
During season 25, Blizzard is allowing players to collect items that they have missed from the previous seasons. Not only will you be able to collect previous rewards, but you will also be able to collect season 25’s reward which is the Pane of Tristram Portrait and The Dark Lordling Pet. Cosmetic rewards are always welcomed and seeing as you can collect season 13’s rewards, we are excited about this.
Journey Rewards
Players that reach the Conqueror rank in their journey are able to unlock various rewards. You need to earn a total of five stash tabs to be eligible for these rewards. However, this time around, if you haven’t met that criteria, you can do the following to unlock the rewards as well:
- Complete a Torment XIII Rift in under 5 minutes
- Complete Greater Rift 60 solo
- Kill Greed on Torment XIII
- Kill Cydaea on Torment XIII in under 15 seconds
- Reforge a Legendary or Set item
- Augment an Ancient item with a Level 50 or greater Legendary Gem
- Level three Legendary Gems to 55
- Complete two Conquests
Conquests
There are new conquests being added to Diablo 3 with the season 25 update. With new conquests, we are going to some familiar ones as well. Conquests such as Sprinter and Speed Racer are making a return and they are perfect for players that love fast-paced gameplay. Some of the new conquests include things such as The Thrill and Super Human. To unlock them, you must go to level 45 without using Set Items. Conquests provide a good challenge to the player and the conquests in season 25 are no different.
Haedrig’s Gift
To get Haedrig’s gift, you must complete chapters 2, 3, and 4 of the season journey. The gift contains items for your character’s class. You can only unlock one Class Set per season so be careful when making that decision. To get a full set, you will have to open all three gifts with the same character class.
Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 25:
- Barbarian – Might of the Earth
- Crusader – Thorns of the Invoker
- Demon Hunter – The Shadow’s Mantle
- Monk – Monkey King’s Garb
- Necromancer – Grace of Inarius
- Witch Doctor – Raiment of the Jade Harvester
- Wizard – Firebird’s Finery
Those are all the changes being made to Diablo 3 in the Lords of Hell season 25 update. We would love to hear your thoughts regarding this season in the comments below. Much like Season 24, Season 25 of Diablo is quite interesting as it brings back some fan-favorite items plus adds in many new ones.
