Elden Ring is filled to the brim with tons of interesting items spread throughout its massive world. From various useful trinkets to extremely powerful Legendary Armaments. The Lands Between is filled with things to do as well as items to find. One such item is Flock’s Canvas Talisman, which can be found in the Caelid Wilds.
Talismans in Elden Ring are extremely useful items that serve a similar purpose to the rings in the Souls series, wearing them grants the player various useful buffs like increased spell damage or extra health or even one that ups your level by 20 levels. One of the more interesting and relatively “hidden” talismans in Elden Ring is the Flock’s Canvas Talisman, this is how you can get it.
Getting the Flock’s Canvas Talisman in Elden Ring:
Getting the Flock’s Canvas Talisman in Elden Ring can be very useful for Faith builds which rely a lot on incantations. It is even better to get this early in the game if you don’t care about Millicent’s questline by heading straight to Caelid. To get to the Flock’s Canvas Talisman, just follow the following steps:
- Head to Caelid.
- Head to Selia, Town of Sorcery which can be found in the map above.
- Near the town of Selia you can find a friendly NPC there in a shack.
- Talk to him and he will tell you his name is Gowry.
- After this you can either kill Gowry now to get the Flock’s Canvas Talisman, or continue with Millicent’s questline if you don’t want to miss out on important dialogue or an entire questline.
Killing Gowry will net you the Flock’s Canvas Talisman. This is an extremely useful Talisman for Faith builds as it greatly boosts the potency of incantations. Keep in mind that killing him early will lock you out of Millicent’s questline which is very crucial to one of the many unlockable endings in Elden Ring. So if you feel like you don’t want to miss out on any important dialogue or story bits then make sure you kill him after finishing his questline.

Absolution
Additionally, players can end up killing him early and then head to the Church of Vows in Liurnia of The Lakes to absolve their sins which will return all NPCs back to their original state. Keep in mind, absolving your character requires a Celestial Dew which can be a fairly rare item to get in Elden Ring, especially early in the game
