FromSoftware has a tradition of giving players the freedom to choose whatever weapon they want. The same is the case in their latest release, Elden Ring. Various weapons require stats like Strength, Faith, and Dexterity just to name a few. Today, we’ll be taking a look at the best strength weapons in Elden Ring, ranked in different tiers.
Strength weapons are normally heavy-hitting and deal tons of damage. However, they can be quite slow and require a lot of endurance to use. Over the years, Strength builds have become quite famous and most players prefer it, especially new players. With that said, let’s get started and take a look at this strength weapons tier list for for Elden Ring.
Best Strength Weapons Tier List for Elden Ring
Before we begin, we know that you might not agree with all of our picks – and that’s fine! We would love to know which weapons you are using and why do you think your favorite one should have made the list. With that in mind, let’s get started and find out which Strength weapons are the best in Elden Ring.
We have divided this Elden Ring tier list into three sections. Each section will include various weapons depending on their stats, effectiveness, scaling, and how well they perform against bosses. The S-Tier weapons are naturally the best whereas the B-Tier weapons should be avoided in the late game.

S-Tier
The weapons added in the S-Tier are useful in all situations, no matter the circumstance. They have the best stats in the game. Not only that, but some of the weapons in this tier are easy to use even if you are a new player.
Fallingstar Beast Jaw
If you are doing a Strength build, you have to use a Fallingstar Best Jaw. Its main damage types are piercing and strike damage which can be extremely useful against certain types of enemies. Equipping it requires you to have 32 STR, 12 DEX, and 20 INT. By the time you get this weapon, you will have met the STR requirements if you are going for a Strength build. You will only need to focus on putting some points in INT to properly wield this Colossal Weapon.
The best part is that you can use its ability – Gravity Bolt – to deal damage from afar. It sends a bolt in the enemy’s direction, and it can be fired rapidly.
Grafted Blade Greatsword
The Grafted Blade Greatsword is considered a Colossal Sword and is one of the best Strength weapons in the game right now. It has a Strength scaling of C and a Dex scaling of E. Fans of Game of Thrones will recognize this weapon as it pays homage to the iconic Iron Throne from the show. This sword – much like the Throne – is made up of various swords of fallen warriors. The biggest upside is that you can use its ability – Oath of Vengence – to temporarily raise all your stats and attributes. Plus, it also increases your poise.
The major downside of this sword, however, is that it has a weight of 21.0 which can cause you to fat roll if you are not careful. Plus, it requires a Strength requirement of 40 so it will take you quite some time to reach this level.
A-Tier
Weapons in the A tier have stats that are pretty effective in certain situations. They are good in some situations but may lack behind in others. Plus, these weapons are a little challenging to use, especially for newer players.

Golden Halberd
While this isn’t exactly a Strength weapon, it still has phenomenal scaling. Leveling it up a bit will cause it to have a C in Strength scaling which makes it superb. On top of that, if you are planning to go for a Strength / Faith hybrid build, the Golden Halberd is a great choice. You can use its ability – Golden Vow – to increase your attack and defense powers for about 45 seconds.
The best part is that you can get this weapon pretty early on after defeating the Tree Sentinal. However, you will need a Strength of 30 to equip it. If you are fighting an enemy while using your trust steed, Torrent, using this Halberd will prove beneficial. The wind-up time is quite decent and you can get good range from it as well.
Rusted Anchor
The Rusted Anchor is a good early-mid game weapon if you are going for a Strength build. If you keep spamming right-handed light attacks, you’ll notice that the anchor has a looping attack pattern. If you have high Endurance (stamina), you will destroy any enemy that is standing in your way. Plus, it staggers the enemy which is extremely good.
You can use its heavy or light jump attacks to deal additional damage. The light jump attack does a swiping attack that hits enemies from right to left. While the Rusted Anchor isn’t the best late-game weapon, it will come in handy in the early-mid part of the game.

B-Tier
These weapons aren’t necessarily bad, but they are not the most effective in the game. Their stats are highly dependent on the situation. On top of that, they have mediocre scaling, making it almost impossible for new players to pick them up or use them in the late game.
Curved Great Club
While the stats on this weapon are good, there are better – and more viable – options available for a good Strength build. It requires 24 STR, and 10 DEX to equip and allows you to use the Barbaric Roar. This roar increases your attack power and your strong attacks are changed to “savage combos”. You can find this item relatively early on but the scaling isn’t the best, making it a solid B-tier.
Magma Wyrm’s Scalesword
While the Magam Wyrm’s Scalesword deserves to be higher up, its offensive and defensive stats hold it back. It requires 24 STR, 15 DEX, and 18 FAI (faith) to properly equip it. The good part is that its STR scaling is quite good. Plus, the skill – Magma Guillotine – is easily A or S-tier. Using it will allow you to trigger a blast of magma in an AOE and follow it up with a chopping attack.
Those are the best Strength weapons in Elden Ring. Did your favorite weapon make the list? Let us know in the comments below! We would love to know which weapon is your favorite and why.
