With the release of Chapter 3 for Fortnite, we believe that we had everything we could possibly ask for but the game had so much more in store for us. With the beginning of Season 1 of Chapter 3 and with the new map, you’d notice how there are holiday decorations are all around the place. This calls for the Winterfest 2021 to finally make its way to the game.
Winterfest comes along with an entirely new event, the Frost Frenzy, that should last throughout the entirety of December. This will give enough time to players to explore everything the new update has to offer and once again relish the holiday spirit with their favorite game.
Fortnite Winter Event 2021 Release Date, Rewards
The Fortnite Winterfest event started on December 16 and is said to go on till January 6. This provides us with enough time to find out what the new update entails. And, we appreciate the time because there is a lot to explore, such as skins, challenges, and so much more.
Winterfest 2021 Skins
If you had swung by the shop recently, you would have notice all these festive skin bundles have started to appear in the store. With new skins added for Peely and Isabella, we also have a new anime-styled Christmas skin added to the game.
But that’s not all, there is a lot in store that is still to come.

Additionally, a new outfit will be making its way to the game, and it is inspired by the winner of June’s Concept Royale. This was posted by a leaker on Twitter, who has claimed that the costume has been confirmed by Epic, however, only time will tell.
Winterfest 2021 Challenges
You can make event progress by completing a new set of challenges that have been added to the game with the Winterfest update. Although the final list of challenges haven’t been revealed, quite a few leaks on Twitter have risen, and we have compiled them together to form a list of all possible challenges that could be making their way to the game.
- Complete 7 Winterfest Quests (Snowmando Board)
- Complete 10 Winterfest Quests
- Warm yourself at the Yule log in the Cozy Lodge
- Deal damage to opponents with the Snowball Launcher
- Collect Toy Biplanes at Condo Canyon, Greasy Grove, or Sleepy Sound
- Travel while having icy feet
- Fly with a chicken
- Dance for three seconds at Crackshot’s Cabin and Sgt. Winter’s Workshop
- Ram a snowman with a vehicle
- Use a Holiday Presents! item
- Search a treasure chest under a holiday tree
- Eat five food in a single match
- Hide for ten seconds as a Sneaky Snowman within 25 meters of an opponent
- Light campfire while having icy feet
- Travel 1000 meters on a Crackshot Quadcrasher
- Destroy holiday decorations
- Give an opponent icy feet with a Chiller Grenade
Additional Rewards
Additionally, there are a few additional rewards you can get your hands on after playing the game for a specific number of hours. Note that you would need to play the creative mod to unlock these rewards. If you play the creative mode for 2 hours, you get access to:
