While a lot of people are hesitant to try out in Valorant due to its overly intrusive anti-cheat software “Vanguard”, the game has a dedicated community of millions of players. All of whom are on PC anyways. If you’re one of the many unfortunate ones to be facing Error 1067 whenever you start Valorant, here are some tips how you can fix it. The following fixes are proposed by the community members and from our experiences.
Change Your BIOS Settings
- Open your BIOS Settings
- Click the F10 and F12 keys to open the BIOS Settings.
- Go to the Advanced Options and find Secure Boot
- It can be found here: Advanced Options -> Boot Options -> Secure Boot
- In Secure Boot, select the Window UEFI Mode
- Once you have performed all of the above steps you should be able to play the game
Change TPM Settings in BIOS
Another BIOS setting trick involves changing the TPM settings. All you need to do is follow the steps below and that should fix the error issue for most of the players:
- Restart your PC.
- Enter your BIOS setup. (You can do this by pressing F2 in most cases)
- Once you enter the BIOS setup, switch to the Security Tab.
- Open TPM Settings.
- Enable Trusted Platform Module.
- Apply and Save Changes.
Restart The Game
If the error still doesn’t get fixed, we suggest that you keep restarting your game. While this might not sound like a viable solution, it works. Usually, it will take you about 2-3 restarts until the game starts working fine. However, if this doesn’t help, then move on to the next step.
Restart VGS in Task Manager
If the previous step didn’t work, then go into the Task Manager by either pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete or Ctrl+Shift+Escape. Once the Task Manager is open:
- Go in the Service tab
- Right-click on VGS
- Click on restart
Keep in mind that this service only appears if you have Valorant installed or running.
Restart Your PC
If all else fails, try to restart your PC and relaunch the game. Hopefully, it will fix the issue, but this is not the best solution. If it doesn’t fix it, you might have to wait to see if the devs release an update. You can contact the devs and tell them your problem to bring light to it.
Update your Windows and Drivers:

Outdated drivers can often cause issues related to games and other important software. Make sure your windows is also kept up to date. - Type “Settings” on the Windows 10/11 Search Bar.
- Head to the “Update and Security” tab.
- Select the Windows Update tab.
- Here you can Check for Updates and download/install any already available updates.
As for updating drivers, users can update their drivers using the appropriate client. For Nvidia users its Geforce Experience. For AMD users its Radeon Software.
