Civilization Specialties
What makes Mongols stand out amongst the rest in AOE 4 is the fact that they are a Nomadic Civilization which means they can shift their base somewhere else, whenever they want. They can pack up their buildings and relocate. The civilization also begins with max capacity so building properties won’t be a hassle.
Mongols can use pastures to produce their own sheep within a 90-second time frame. But don’t let that fool you as the civilization is very technologically advanced with their own unique buildings, such as the Ger budlings to collect resources, an Ovoo building built upon a stone reserve can mine stones for you.
Unique Units
The Mongols have two unique units you can take into combat, The Khan and the Mangudai.
The Khan
- Heads of the Mongol Armies.
- Unique mounted archer units.
- Unique Signal Arrow ability, capable of boosting the prowess of nearby troop with temporary movement speed or combat strength.
- Will respawn on death after a fixed time.
Mangudai
- Operate on hit-and-run tactics.
- Can attack during movement.

- The Mongols can re-locate their buildings as a unique feature.
- Setting the enemies homes on fire will allow them to plunder +50 Food and Gold.
- They start off with maximum population with no need of building houses.

- they can produce more of their units with the help of stones, thanks to their technologies.
- They gain +50 Food, Wood, Gold, and Stone from trade routes with more traders.
- Mongol transport ships have an additional 50% health and move +15% faster.
