Pre Orders for Horizon Forbidden West have just opened and we can’t be more excited to continue Aloy’s journey. With updated graphics, a brand new story and a game that’s developed with the next-gen PS5 in mind and a legacy to continue, the title will definitely be a smash hit!
While we still haven’t had a lot of indications as to how the game will be running on both consoles, we can presume that we’ll still be getting the same level of visual fidelity and performance. However, it does seem like the PS5 version of the game will be favoured slightly.

How to Pre-Order on PS4 / PS5
Pre Ordering on both the consoles follows the exact same procedure, here’s what you need to do:
- Open the PlayStation Store and head onto Horizon Forbidden West
- Once there, pre-order the game.
- After you’ve completed the transaction, the game should now appear on your Library!
What is Horizon Forbidden West Release Date?
Horizon Forbidden West will be coming on both the PS4 and PS5 on February 18, 2022. The game’s release date was pushed forward due to internal QA issues.
