Just like the Valorant’s First Strike series in North America, we’ll be having the same favor for European side of the competition as well. Riot has given all the details about the First Strike Europe series, which will be starting from 9th November.
We’ve got you covered with the details of the tournament, including, the schedule, prize pool, the registration procedure and how to watch the series. So, let’s take a look at all of them.
Tournament Format
The series will feature four different tournaments for the online qualifiers. It’ll be two weeks long, as two tournaments will be played in the first and last two in the second week.
For the format, it’s going to be a single elimination tournament. You lose and you get eliminated. The top 8 teams after the qualifiers will play the playoffs. From there, the top 4 will advance to the main event of First Strike Europe series.
Schedule
The open qualifiers will start from 9th November and will continue for two weeks, till the 22nd. Afterwards, the main event of the tournament will begin from 3rd December, just like the North American one.
Quarter finals will take place on 3rd and 4th December, with semifinals being played on the 5th. The last day of the competition will be concluded of 6th of December, and we’ll have our first champions of the First Strike Europe Series.
How to Register for First Strike Europe
If you are looking to the play the qualifiers, then all you have to do is go on Riot’s official page, sign up, and register yourself. Registrations for the first qualifiers will be taken into account from 26th October at 9:00 AM CET / 4:00 PM GMT+8. You’ll be able to register only until November 5th, 2:00 PM CET.
For the second qualifiers, the registration timings have been stretched till 12th November, 2:00 PM CET.
Prize Pool
Similar to North America, the prize pool of the First Strike Europe Series is also 100K USD, which will be distributed among the top 8 teams, as follows.
- 1st place: $35,000
- 2nd place: $20,000
- 3rd place: $12,000
- 4th place: $12,000
- 5th place: $6,500
- 6th place: $6,500
- 7th place: $4,000
- 8th place: $4,000
How to Watch First Strike Europe Series
Though, the official streaming channels haven’t been released by Riot, but they’ll reveal them in a few days. Having said that, you can watch the stream of the qualifiers, starting from November 14th and 15th at the same time, i.e at 5:00 PM CET / 12:00 PM GMT+8. The same timings will be followed for the playoffs on 21st and 22nd of November.
The main event will be broadcasted live from 3rd to 6th December, each day, at 5:00 PM CET / 12:00 PM GMT+8.
