The moss-ridden Lush Cave has finally made its way to the aptly named Caves and Cliffs Update in Minecraft. If you’ve just gotten the update, chances are you want to explore the new biome and take a look at it yourself. Thankfully, we’ve done some digging and as such have found out where exactly Lush Caves lie in the new world generation algorithm.
Like every other biome in Minecraft, there are particular spots where you’ll be able to find Lush Caves. Other than that, your fortune is entirely dependent on your seed. Venturing out in the wild may lead you to not find a Lush Cave biome as quickly as you might think. However, we do have a way that’ll grant you some better luck.
How to Find Lush Caves in Minecraft Caves and Cliffs Update
Lush Caves are generated at a y-axis that is strictly below ground. However, there’s no limit to it. So, they can spawn right underneath the grass or go as far as bedrock. Generally, you’ll be able to find Lush Caves right near Forest Biomes. However, they can also be found near Plains as well.
How to Spot a Lush Cave Entrance
Thankfully, you don’t need to dig down everywhere in order to find the entrance to Lush Caves. They can be easily found by following these steps:
- Go to your closest Large Forest Biome
- Move towards its outskirts
- Find an Azalea Tree (Image shown above)
- Dig right underneath it until you find the enterance to the Lush Cave
What is in a Lush Cave Biome?
While there isn’t a lot of loot in Lush Caves, there certainly is a lot of Azalea, moss, and vines moving around. They generally are smaller than other types of caves but seem to be densely packed with more hostile mobs and blocks.
The Flowering Azalea and Small / Big Dripleaf are one of the few unique blocks added to this biome that you won’t be able to find anywhere else. You’ll also be able to find springs and shallow lakes within the biome too.
How to Find Lush Caves Faster?
To find any biome quicker once a new update has dropped, here’s what you should be doing:
- Make a new world on the latest version of Minecraft
- Choose a random seed (Leave the seed slot empty)
- Switch to creative and fly around the first 500 or so blocks
- If you are not able to find the biome, delete the world and make a new one!
Note: We’ll be adding a seed that’ll help you find Lush Caves extremely quickly once we get our hands on it. Keep watching this space!
