Battlefield 2042 seems to be an absolute cinematic masterpiece, releasing soon on October 21, 2021. If you are wondering about what kind of system requirements the game will boast, look no further! DICE’s new game aims to move away from the World War I / World War II settings that the previous few iterations of the franchise had. Instead, Battlefield 2042 will be set in the near future with supersonic jets, tanks, attack helicopters, and combat soldiers making an appearance once again!

This is the rig you’ll need to have to enjoy the game at relatively reasonable graphics at about 1080p @ 45-60 FPS.

  • Processor: Ryzen 3 1300X or better / i5 6600k or better
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics (GPU): GeForce GTX 1050 or better / AMD Radeon 7970 / R9280X or better
  • DirectX: Version 11

  • Storage: 50 GB available space

You will need these specifications if you want to crank the graphics up just a little bit. However, even the GTX 1060 will only run the game at 1080p @ 60 FPS.

If you are surprised about how low the graphics requirements seemingly are, don’t be! Battlefield games are relatively well-optimized compared to other counterparts and can run better on older hardware at a reasonable frame rate. However, we’ll know for sure once the game comes out on October 21.
