Call of Duty: Vanguard will be the next installment of the infamous Call of Duty franchise. Set in a World War 2 theme, the series seems to be going back to its roots with tons of new content to be expected. Thankfully, we’ve gotten a hold of the Vanguard Alpha test release date for the PS4, PS5, Xbox, and PC.
Just like previous iterations of Call of Duty franchises, the update will be coming out first on the PlayStation consoles and then will be available on other platforms. There is also a high chance that we might not be seeing an alpha version on every platform. UPDATE: As part of this alpha test, we will get to play Champion Hill, a new game mode in Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Call of Duty: Vanguard Alpha Release Date
Alpha versions of Call of Duty games are extremely buggy, glitchy and generally do not resemble the final state of the game. However, they do provide you with a good idea of what to expect in terms of the theme and gunplay. Do note that all progress you make in the Alpha version will be reset as soon as it is over.
PS4 / PS5 Vanguard Alpha Release Date
The Call of Duty: Vanguard Alpha Test is expected to released on August 27 exclusively for PlayStation platforms.

Xbox / PC Vanguard Alpha Release Date
While there still isn’t a concrete date yet, the Alpha will either be coming out a week after PlayStation, or both platforms might end up getting a beta release in the next few months instead.
What to Expect from the Alpha?
As mentioned earlier, the Alpha is expected to be quite buggy just like the previous Black Ops Cold War Alpha. However, you’ll get to know everything there is to know about the general theme of the game, what new guns will be introduced and how the pace of the game will feel.
