Crossplay is one of the most exciting feature in the gaming industry these days. It is a feature that allows players from all platforms to play together. It won’t matter if you are playing on the Xbox, PlayStation, or PC, if the game supports crossplay, you all can play together.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 seems to be having a bit of a situation regarding crossplay across several platforms. Everyone is questioning the fact that if they can toggle crossplay on or off and in this guide we are going to dig deeper to find out that answer for you.
Can’t Disable Crossplay in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Crossplay was first added to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare back in 2019 and has been included in every COD since then. Every game that supports crossplay, also gives its user the option to turn it on or off depending upon their choices but Call of Duty seems to have closed their eyes regarding this feature.
Call of Duty first ditched the ability to switch crossplay on or off in COD: Warzone and everyone was seemingly angry about it because PC player don’t want to get stuck with console players with aim assist and console players don’t want to get bullied by PC players with a significant movement advantage using mouse and keyboard.
The crossplay feature was something that was put into place to reduce the long queue times and don’t get me wrong it solved that issue as the queue times were cut into half because if you combine all three platforms, then Call of Duty has got a very big playerbase but not having the ability to turn it on at will has seemed to backfire.
