Once again, if you use Xbox and want to disable crossplay for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 then you cannot because Infinity Ward has taken that choice away from it’s players but don’t worry as we have got a fix for you. Here is how you can disable crossplay on Xbox for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

  1. Go to your Xbox main screen and press “Home Button” on your controller.
  2. From there go to Settings.
  3. In Settings, heat to the “General” tab.
  4. Select “Online Safety & Family”.
  5. Scroll to “Privacy & Online Safety” and press enter.
  6. Now open the “Xbox Privacy” and select “View Details & Customize”.
  7. In the customize menu, you will see “Communication & Multiplayer”.
  8. From there go select “Join Cross-Network Play” and set it to block.
  9. Restart your Xbox.

What this will do is that it will disable crossplay for all games on Xbox. This is not a solution but a workaround that works for the time being.

  1. On your main screen, press the “Option” button which will open the Settings for you.
  2. Go to “Account and Network” tab.
  3. In the Account tab, there will be an option for Crossplay that you can turn on or off.
