The gun has excellent range, low recoil, and good fire rate which makes it very useful in every mode of the game.

FR .556 Loadout / Attachments
So, basically, our gunsmith build here focuses on improving the accuracy, range and controls of the weapon. This build makes the FR .556 literally recoil-less! You can try it out in-game to get an experience yourself. The accuracy is increased which means most of your bullets will be connecting at the target and the range also gets a boost.

Barrel: OWC Ranger
The OWC Ranger Barrel has three positives and two negatives. The positives include ADS bullet spread accuracy, damage range, and vertical recoil control. On the other hand, the downsides are slow movement and ADS speed. But you won’t be taking much of those close-range gunfights so you can compromise a bit on the ADS speed.
Stock: RTC Steady Stock
Another attachment that increases the ADS bullet spread accuracy. The RTC Steady Stock also improves the lateral recoil control and flinch stability, but takes down some movement and ADS speed just like our barrel.
Laser: Tactical Laser
Even after so many changes and updates, the tactical laser remains a must-have attachment for any gun, especially in the laser category. It increases the ADS speed as well as the movement speed. However, your laser sight will be visible while ADS-ing.
Underbarrel: Strike Foregrip
A great attachment for controlling recoil and widening the bullet spread of the gun. But again, some of that movement speed is slowed down.
Rear Grip: Granulated Grip Tape
The Granulated Grip Tape is a great attachment for any assault rifle. It will increase the bullet spread even more, to make the gun as accurate as possible. But, if you want to balance some movement speed then you can go for the Stippled Grip Tape as well. It all depends on your preference and playstyle.
