Icarus Known Issues, Glitches and Bugs

Here’s an official list of the bugs and glitches faced by players during their time in Icarus. We’ll be updating this post as soon as more issues are identified or resolved. Many of these bugs are known to the developers and they are working hard to fix them.

Game not Starting

This is one of the most common issues that players are facing. Most of these problems happen due to improper installation. To fix this issue, delete your game and install it again. Before installing though, make sure that you disable your antivirus since it might mistakenly delete a file from the game. Also, try to run the game as an administrator to see if that works for you.

Low FPS and Crashes

First of all, make sure that you meet the system requirements for Icarus. If your hardware meets the requirements and you’re still facing these issues, then there might be another reason for it. When you are in-game, make sure that you turn off anti-aliasing as it can stutter your FPS quite a lot. Finally, you can open the Task Manager to check the CPU and memory utilization. Sometimes, there is another program open in the background that is causing this problem. If you find it in the Task Manager, close that program and it will hopefully fix the problem.

Black Screen in Icarus

Players are reporting that they are facing a black screen issue while playing the game. This problem mostly occurs if your GPU does not meet the minimum system requirements or you are running the game at higher graphics than your GPU can run. However, it might also occur due to GPU drivers not being updated.

Installation hangs

If this issue happens to you, make sure that you have enough space on the HDD for installation. Always make sure that you have plenty of space for the game to install. Plus, do not forget to disable the antivirus for the time game installation. If the issue continues to happen, restart your PC and try again.

Saves not Working in Icarus

If you cannot save the game, make sure that you have enough storage space in your drive. If your HDD is full, the game won’t be able to save. You can also try to locate your save file and delete it to see if the game starts saving now. Always make sure to backup your save file before altering it.

Controls not Working

If your controls are not working, make sure that you do not have additional input devices. If you have a controller plugged in, try to disconnect it and then see if it works. Otherwise, you can try to restart the game or restart your PC to fix this issue.

No sound in Icarus

This is surprisingly a common issue faced by players in Icarus. First of all, make sure that the sound is working in other programs. If you are still facing this issue, update your sound drivers and then try again. You can also try to restart your PC and game to see if it fixes anything.
