Major Champion Changes in Season 12

Rengar

League of Legends Rengar

With the introduction of season 12, Rengar has been on the weaker side of the scale. He was in massive need of some buffs and Riot Games finally listened. Rengar will receive a buff to his ultimate ability Thrill of the Hunt. The hunter has a new passive when you level up his ultimate at level 6.

Thrill of the Hunt

As you can see in the image above, Rengar can now leap when he is camouflaged. This opens up tons of possibilities for players and will change how the champion works. Now, you can jump when your allies make you camouflaged, and even when the Chemtech Drake changes the map. This will allow Rengar to have more presence on the map.

Janna

Janna

With the introduction of the new season, Riot Games are shipping out a mini-rework for Janna. Players have been mostly playing Janna as a poke-enchanter instead of utility support. Riot Games are giving some major buffs to her Q ability while balancing the rest of her kit. This will open up a new build path for the champion for you to try out.

With buffs to her Q ability and adjustments to the W ability, she will now be utility support that will focus on wave clear and shielding. While the damage on her W is increased, it has a significantly longer cooldown which means that you cannot use it for poking the enemy in the lane. Her base stats are also being nerfed as she is losing some range and reworking how her increased movespeed works.

These changes haven’t landed well with most Janna mains as they feel like she is now just a shield spam support. However, Lulu, Yummi, and Nami are much better options in terms of shielding and healing.

These are all the patch schedules and major champion changes coming to League of Legends in season 12. Let us know if you are excited for the new season of League of Legends and what change are you looking forward to. We would love to know your thoughts regarding this matter.
