Stage 4 Updates | COD Mobile World Championship 2020

First half of the 4th stage of COD Mobile World Championship has been completed. Millions tried till Stage 3 but only the top 8 teams from 8 different regions qualified for stage 4. Results of 5 out of these 8 regions have been confirmed. It was a best of five series with double bracket elimination format.

In the last couple of days, the most competitive teams and players were up against each other. But in the end, only 1 team qualified for the World Championship Finals from each region.

Below, we have mentioned all the teams of the 5 regions that have played stage 4 up till now, and which team made it to Stage 5, along with the match results. You can continue reading below find out all the Stage 4 updates.

Vietnam

Vietnam was the first region to play stage 4, starting from 4th of September. The matches weren’t streamed, but we have got our team who’ll be representing Vietnam in the finals of the World Championship. Good Genius defeated ProGk 4 to 1 in a Bo7 series final to secure their place in the 5th stage.

South Korean Nationals

The qualifiers of South Korea were concluded almost three weeks ago on 9th of September. It was the second region to play the 4th stage. 1K Gaming defeated Midnight in the final of stage 4, by 3 to 1, to qualify for the ultimate stage 5.

The format was different here, if you lose, you don’t get a second chance.

Japan

Japan, along with Latin America, Eastern Europe and Asia played their qualifiers on the 26th and 27th of September. Unfortunately, three out of the eight teams withdrew for some reasons. Aten, Sausage and Team Mio being those three teams.

Tournament was then converted into 5 teams bracket, with team REJECT Faker beating Bedroom Team by 3 – nil in the final to secure their place in the 5th stage. They went 9-nil in the tournament, winning each and every game they played. That’s some domination!

Eastern Europe and Asia

Top 8 teams from Eastern Europe and Asia qualified for stage 4 and one of them blew away the rest. Team Mayhem from India almost became the Invincible team but unfortunately, they lost one game out of their 12, in pursuit of qualifying for Round 5.

A dominant Team Mayhem defeated 3rB Squad by 3 to 1 in the Grand Final of stage 4, having also defeating them 3 – nil in the Semi Finals.

Latin America

Latin America had the most competitive Final by far. Influence Rage, coming from elimination bracket, going up against Feb E-Sports, who had recently beaten them in the upper bracket final by 3-1. It was revenge time now for INF.

Remember, INF came from the loser’s bracket so they had to win the best of five series two times in order to qualify for stage 5. They won the first match by 3-1, taking them one inch closer to the grand stage. It was now or never for both the teams.

The last final was tied at 2-2. Feb won the first Hardpoint map and INF equalized things in the second SnD map. Feb took the lead again after the third domination map only to lose the next Hardpoint map as INF made it 2-2. INF was trailing by 3-0 in the 5th and final Search and Destroy Map, but a huge turnaround saw them winning 6 consecutive rounds, as they qualify for the World Championship Finals for LATAM Region.

That’s all for the stage 4 updates up till now. The Garena (SEA/Taiwan) Regionals will be beginning from today. Another tournament consisting of top teams from their region, we’ll be in for a treat.
