Yoru is the newest Agent introduced in Valorant Patch 2.0. He is a Duelist and has the most versatile kit amongst any other Character in the game. The new patch has introduced a much-needed rebalancing of the Controller Meta. You might finally see a change in picks in Competitive from Omen to Brimstone, who has been significantly buffed. The addition of Yoru as a Duelist further adds to the change in tempo of the game.
Valorant is a tactical first-person shooter developed by the creators of League of Legends, Riot Games. The game is completely free-to-play and features 5v5 ability based combat with unique heroes that you can pick from, with each having different roles in the game. Currently, the game has entered Episode 2 Act 1 with changes being made to competitive as well.
Yoru – Agent Guide / Overview
Yoru is a Duelist who hails from Japan. His signature skills revolve around infiltrating enemy lines and remaining unseen at the same time. Unlike most other Duelists, he relies on aggression as well as deception equally to catch his enemies off-guard. His kit allows him to get a head-start on peaking certain angles, especially on Offense.

Yoru in his current state is a very heavy counter to Sentinels because he negates most of their enemies and traps due to his reliance on teleportation.
Special Abilities
As mentioned earlier, Yoru’s entire kit revolves around, catching enemies’ off-guard. He is equipped with a CS: GO Style pop-flash and the ability to feign his footsteps, confusing opponents, which can be quite critical in certain situations.
Q – Blindside
EQUIP to rip an unstable dimensional fragment from reality. FIRE to throw the fragment, activating a flash that winds up once it collides with a hard surface in the world
E – Gatecrash
EQUIP to harness a rift tether FIRE to send the tether out moving forward ALT FIRE to place a tether in place ACTIVATE to teleport to the tether’s location
C – Fakeout
EQUIP an echo that mimics footsteps when activated FIRE to activate and send the echo forward ALT FIRE to place an echo in place USE the inactive echo to send it forward
X – Dimensional Drift
EQUIP a mask that can see between dimensions. FIRE to drift into Yoru’s dimension, unable to be affected or seen by enemies from the outside
