The 7th season of Apex Legends, Ascension, is going to end soon. Respawn Entertainment, the developers of Apex Legends have confirmed that the new Season 8 is going to drop very shortly. The new season will bring a new legend, weapon, battle pass, and ranked season. Season 7 started back in November and will be ending after running for almost three months. The new season, however, will be beginning from the upcoming February.

Apex Legends Season 8 Start Date
Season 8 of Apex Legends is labeled as Mayhem and is set to release on the 2nd of February, 2021. A new legend, Fuse, is making his way into the game. A 30-30 repeater will also be included in the game files for the upcoming season. Besides, a new Battle Pass, the 8th one, will arrive with the release, and the Ranked system will reset as well.

Apex Legends Season 8 Updates
As mentioned above, many new features are releasing with the brand new season, and some of the main ones are described below.
New Legend: Fuse
The 16th Legend, Fuse, was described as “the laid-back explosives expert” by Respawn Entertainment. What we can expect from that is the character might be overpowered when it comes to using frags and stuff, and might become a go-to for many players soon.
As described by the officials:
“Fuse doesn’t lack confidence, but he often lacks a plan. He’s a blow-up-first ask-questions-later kinda guy.”
New Weapon: The 30-30 Repeater
Not much information has been shared about the upcoming weapon, but it is being defined as “Salvo’s most popular weapon, this lever-action rifle picks apart the opposition with hard-hitting rounds”.
Salvo is basically the planet of the legend, Fuse, and besides, he can be seen standing with the gun, in the poster.
Mayhem Battle Pass
The new battle pass of Season 8 will release on the 2nd of February. The BP will contain over a hundred rewards, including legendary skins, Apex packs, holo-sprays, and much more.
Ranked Season 8
The new ranked season will be live once the update comes. The players will have to grind again to get their way back to the top.
