Best Wild Rift Champions for Beginners and their Roles

League Of Legends: Wild Rift has certainly made some strides in the right direction when it comes to making the game more beginner-friendly. However, the game still has a lot of nuances that one must learn before mastering the game. Today, we’re going to be showing you the best beginner roles and champions for Wild Rift.

Wild Rift has unique champions and a particular role which suits each champion best. These roles have different things they need to during the game (gank, farm, etc.) They also go to a specific lane and thus it can be particularly difficult for new players to understand what they need to with specific champions even if they understand their skills.

Best Wild Rift Champions for Beginners

These roles or champions are not ranked in a particular order. All of these roles or champions are quite fun to play and have a relatively easier learning curve than most champions present in Wild Rift. Here’s our list:

The Baron Lane – Garen

Garen - Best Wild Rift Champion

The Baron Lane or the solo lane is going to be the easiest lane for a beginner to play. You’ll probably be against newer players yourself and since the lane is less prone to ganks, you’ll have a lot of time to get used to your hero. Junglers will generally not gank your lane.

The hero we recommend for this specific lane is Garen. He is an extremely tanky champion that has passive health regen for all his troubles. His abilities include a debuff / cleanse, a silence, and his ultimate deals true damage which is a great finisher for most enemies.

Jungling – Master Yi

Master Yi - Best Wild Rift Champion

Okay, okay, you might be thinking to yourself, isn’t the jungle really hard when it comes to rotations and ganking? Well, yes and no. The jungle lane is extremely easy to understand and play but executing it at the highest level is quite difficult which is true for any lane.

For this specific lane, we recommend going for Master Yi. He is one of the highest damage dealing champions in the game. He deals a lot of damage in chunks. Yi’s most powerful ability is his passive which stacks after every few consecutive hits which makes him quite easy to jungle with. Couple that with his Meditate ability and he can sustain through most fights / mobs with ease!

Mid Lane – Lux

Lux - Beginner Champion And Roles

The Mid Lane is great for beginners since it always pits you in a 1v1 against an equally skilled player. This lane helps you develop a more keen eye towards dodging the enemy jungler and trying to set up kills for your own.

For this lane, Lux is an obvious choice. She has easy-to-hit skill shots and is quite a powerful mage. Her passive increases her entire damage output and her first ability Lucent Singularity lets her clear waves with ease. Lux’s ultimate which is a laser beam has an extreme amount of range and does massive damage making her perfect for the Mid Lane’s chaotic skirmishes.
