Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) 1.6 has just been released and we have the APK and OBB download links for Android devices! The update finally brings back Vikendi, adds highlights, regional rankings, and performance improvements across the board.
If you have an Android device that does not have Google Play Services like a Huawei phone, you can download BGMI Update 1.6 from the section down below. Do note that if you reside in India, only the regional Battlegrounds India version will work on your phone and not the Global version. However, both have received the same feature sets.
Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) 1.6 – What’s New?
BGMI 1.6 will be following the same format as the global version when it comes to new features. However, there are a few regional differences that we have mentioned below. Here’s everything new coming out in Battlegrounds Mobile India 1.6:
Brand New Game Mode – Flora Menace
Aliens have finally arrived in PUBG Mobile. You will now be tasked with going inside their spaceship and finding an item called the Cell Matrix. You’ll be fighting aliens and getting epic drops along the way. So, suit up!
Vikendi Makes A Return
You’ll be noticing a lot of old classic maps making a return in BGMI 1.6. An updated Vikendi, Payload 2.0. Infection Mode, Titans: Last Stand, and a revamped Metro Royale: Reunion are amongst the many new modes.
Highlights Finally Added
Ever got a really clean Chicken Dinner that you wanted to show off? Well, now you can! You can now save your highlights and share them on Facebook and other social media websites like TikTok and Instagram.
Regional Rankings
Competition just got a whole lot fierce. You can now pick a popular area/region and compete with players and see who’s the strongest of them all!
Performance Improvements
You’ll notice better performance and much smoother controls once you update to BGMI Update 1.6. The entire game should feel much smoother.
Royale Pass Season 22
Royale Pass Season 22 has finally been released. Ripe with new content, skins, emotes, and more! The 3-month-long pass is a must-buy for any serious fan.
Download BGMI 1.6 APK (Latest Version)
With all these new features, downloading the latest version of PUBG Mobile India is an absolute must! Plus, you’ll need to download the APK and OBB files to be able to play the latest version of the game. Here’s how you can get the game up and running on your Android device.
The APK file is about 92 MB while the OBB file comes in at 150 MB. However, you’ll need a total space of about 700 MB before you can get the game up and running. So, make sure you have enough space before you go ahead and install the game.
After you’ve gotten both these files downloaded, here are the steps you need to follow:
- Tap on the APK file and hit Install. If the game does not end up installing, you’ll need to allow your device to install applications from unknown sources. Here’s how you can do so:
- Head on to Settings > Safety and Privacy > Install Applications From Unknown Sources
- After the APK is up and running, head on to the following file path:
- Android > OBB > com.pubg.imobile
- Now, copy the OBB file to the same desitnation. Once you’ve done so, you can delete the APK file.
- Open the game and select the resource pack you wish to download. You will need moe than 1 GB of storage to download the High Res texture pack.
