The top 8 teams of Garena region continue to grind for a spot in the COD Mobile World Championship finals. After two very tough days, the third day saw some pretty one sided results, and we are here to give you all the details and match outcomes from day 3.
Garena (SEA/TW), the 6th region to play it’s qualifiers after Vietnam, Korea, Japan, EU East, Asia and LATAM is producing some of the best COD Mobile gameplay and skill level, one can witness. The results of 5 regions are already out and the next team to join the finals will be from the South East Asia / Taiwan region.
Day 3 Match Results and Points Table
The following matches were scheduled for day 3:
- 1st Match: Divinity.Uprising (SG) vs FunPlus Phoenix (TW)
- 2nd Match: DG Esports (ID) vs Daivo.FreeSlot (TH)
- 3rd Match: NRX Jeremiah 29:11 (PH) vs Resurgence (MY)
Result of 1st Match:
DVT going up against FPX for the first match of the day. DVT didn’t just win, they dominated each and every map. Winning the hardpoint 150-51, SnD 6-4 and the domination map 150-109.
FPX continue to struggle as they’ve now suffered their second 3-nil loss in as many matches. They’ll have to get back on track asap to even get a chance to qualify for the playoffs.
Result of 2nd Match
The match-up of the top 2 teams of the table. DG Esports facing Daivo.FS. Though, it was expected that it will be a close match, rather it turned out to be one-sided. Daivo.FS didn’t even let DG come close in the first hardpoint map, as they easily won the game 150 to 47.
The second SnD game was a close one but Daivo.FS again sneaked away with the win. They won 6-4 to get a 2-0 lead. The third domination game wasn’t a hurdle either for them, as we witnessed the second clean sweep of the day. They won the domination map 150-109 to complete a 3-nil victory over DG.
Result of 3rd Match
Resurgence facing NRX 29:11, who came after their 2-1 win over Divinity. Resurgence for the very first time, won their first game of the Bo3 series, winning the hardpoint map 150 to 103. But it all went downhill from their.
RSG couldn’t get anything going for them in the 2nd and 3rd game. NRX comprehensively won 6-0 in the SnD map and 150-79 in the domination map, giving RSG their fourth 2-1 loss.
