Nintendo Switch 11.0.1 Firmware Update Notes | Bug Fixes and More

Nintendo has just updated the Switch to version 11.0.1 and has included a small number of new features and a lot of bug fixes. The Switch is constantly being updated, especially after new games for the platform are expected to be releasing. Today, we are going to be covering all the patch notes for Nintendo Switch’s update 11.0.1.

  • Corrected a problem where some games couldn’t be played correctly.
  • Corrected a problem where, in combination with some TVs, the image would not be displayed in TV mode and an error occurred.
  • Corrected a problem which changed how the Control Stick and the C Stick on the Nintendo GameCube controller responded.

  1. Unfortunately this update has a nasty bug in it. Whenever I leave my switch in sleep mode for too long it stops recognizing the game card in it, and I have to eject and re-insert it to play it. I know my card reader isn’t going bad because I can play all day everyday without any problems. This issue only happens if I leave my switch in sleep mode for too long

    • This version does have a lot of bugs especially with the Joy-Cons too. We’re hoping Nintendo releases a fix in the coming weeks. We’ll be sure to cover it though!

    • yes this is a common thing apparently, and yes its not your game card/port when it says “insert game game card” instead if you do a reset it will register the card without reinserting it, after reading on a few sites with this update they updated the way the card slot reads (possibly a piracy thing) so hopefully they release a new update to fix it.
