The iconic Age of Empires franchise will be receiving its fourth instalment soon. With pre-orders now open, here’s how you can pre-load the game on both Steam and the Microsoft Store to be one of the first to play the game. How To Pre-Load Age Of Empires IV
In order to pre-load Age of Empires IV, you will first need to have the game pre-ordered on either Microsoft Store or Steam. Here’s how you can do so:

- Click on the pre-order option depending on the edition you wish to purchase.
- Aftere you have pre-ordered, you’ll be able to download and play the game once it is released.
Xbox Game Pass / Microsoft App Store
The game is also available from Microsoft’s official platform for PC, here’s how you can get it:

- You will now be able to select the edition you wish to purchase.
- Once the game is available for pre-load, you will recieve a notification to be able to do so.

As of yet, the developers have not provided an official pre-load date for the game. However, we’ll be updating this post as soon as we have an official date. Since the game will be releasing soon, we can expect a pre-load date of Oct 26 to Oct 27
