PUBG Mobile is rolling out a new themed event in collaboration with Mountain Dew for exclusive loot and permanent rewards. This new promotional event is only live in the New Erangel 2.0 map. To check it out, we just launched a classic battle royale match and there we spotted a vending machine.
This partnership comes as a no surprise as Mountain Dew has been into gaming from quite a while. They have sponsored several e-sports tournaments around the world, so it makes sense for them to collaborate with the biggest battle royale game, PUBG Mobile.
These vending machines will give players with additional loot and may be some Mountain Dew branded items as well, like a can as in the screenshot below. Other items in this loot may be a helmet, ammo or weapons. The vending machines are exactly how we have seen them in real life.
Not just this, the official announcement press release has also mentioned that there will be cross-promotion with the physical Mountain Dew products to unlock rewards and in-game prizes. These prizes will only be available when you buy selected / marked products.
PUBG Mobile Mountain Dew Rewards
As mentioned about the cross-promotion, there are certain real-world rewards you can ‘redeem’ and ‘unlock’ like the following:
- Mountain Dew parachute
- Mountain Dew t-shirt
- Crate coupons
- 100 BP
Not just this, there are some in-game digital rewards available as well that you might find from the vending machines. They can be any of the following:
- Mountain Dew parachute
- Mountain Dew t-shirt
- Classic Crate Coupon
- 2 x BP Card (1 Hour)
- 2000 BP
