The console edition of Rust is getting some much-needed love this week with the developer’s announcing a new content update titled Devastation Unleashed. The update brings in the Tech Tree, 3 KM big maps, new building blocks, gestures, changes to gun handling, aim assist and tons of other bug fixes.
While we’ll be covering the complete patch notes for the update when it drops on November 25, we’re going to be talking about some of the features that are going to be present in one of the biggest content updates for the game yet down below!
Rust Devastation Unleashed Update: New Features
As mentioned earlier, Rust’s new Devastation Unleashed Update will be brigning in tons of changes and if things remain smooth, will be releasing on all supported consoles on November 25. Here’s what to expect:
- Tech Tree: Players will be able to unlock the items they need the most by collecting scrap from around the map and constructing a workbench allowing them to progress through different playstyles.
- 3 KM Maps: The Trainyard, Watter Treatment Plan and Supermarket will be expanded further with 3KM map seeds on both weekly and monthly servers.
- New Building Blocks: The update adds a lot more building blocks like The Triangle Roof, Spiral Staiarcase, Ramp and Steps.
- Gestures: Players will be able to perform various emottes by opening the radial menu and cycling through them.
- Quality of Life Improvements and Bug Fixes
