What’s the Best Level for PvP in Elden Ring?

Player vs player (PvP) is an important aspect of FromSoftware games ever since Dark Souls came out. Players love getting good equipment and fighting other players to see how well they stack up. Naturally, you will find all types of players online. Some are there to have fun while others will try their best to defeat you. That is why we will show you what is the best level for PvP in Elden Ring.

While you can technically start PvP extremely early in the game, we do not recommend that because it won’t be nearly as fun as if you do it later. With that said, let’s dive right in and take a look at what is the best level for PvP in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring: What Is The Best Level For PvP

What Is The Best Level For PvP In Elden Ring?

Before we talk about the level, you’ll want to know how to unlock PvP in Elden Ring. The easiest way to do this is to talk to White Faced Varre and start his questline. He can be found next to the First Grace Site you encounter. After killing Godrick – the main boss of Stormveil Castle, you can progress to Liurnia of the Lakes. Find the NPC again at a nearby unmarked spot called Church of Roses. He will give you five Festering Bloody Fingers that you can use to invade other players.

If you don’t want to invade players, you can always interact with their summoning sign and bring them to your world for a fight. Either way, you will want to be well prepared and have good equipment to deal with the foe.

With that out of the way, let’s talk about levels. As aforementioned, you can start PvP at any time but after careful research and my own experience, I found levels 120-125 to be the best for PvP. At this point, players have access to great stats, amazing armor, and properly upgraded weapons. However, some players prefer to reach the level 150 mark and that’s also a good point for PvP.

In any case, you will have access to end-game stats by this point and the only thing you will have to worry about is your build and equipment. Since the game has been out for some time now, the early PvP duels are no longer the “meta” and you often don’t find people to invade around levels 60-70 (at least I couldn’t find anyone during those levels). Another thing to keep in mind is that regardless if you have Runes or not, we suggest that you do not level up your character after reaching the PvP levels. Otherwise, it might eventually get harder to find a good match.

Since the meta continues to shift as the community gets more familiar with the game, we might see level 150 become the norm. Since the soft caps are higher this time around, players fully complete their builds around level 125. So, naturally, that became the meta for PvP.

That’s everything you need to know about what is the best level for PvP in Elden Ring. We would love to know what level you started playing online and what build are you using.
