From small enemies to larger ones, there’s everything for every type of player. With the release of the new update, there is a new Artifact Domain called the Slumbering Court and a brand new enemy to face as well – the Golden Wolflord. Here’s how to beat Golden Wolflord in Genshin Impact.

This gigantic beast can be quite troublesome to deal with. While you have already been fighting various Rifthounds, this one is different. Defeating this large creature will reward the player with a Riftborn Regalia item for Arataki Itto. With that said, let’s find out how to beat the Golden Woldlord in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact: How to Beat Golden Wolflord

How to Beat Golden Wolflord in Genshin Impact

Located in the southern part of Tsurumi Island, the Golden Woldlord is an extremely difficult enemy to fight. He deals tons of damage and has a lot of HP. Needless to say that you must have a pretty high-level team if you want to take on this bad boy. To make things even worse, he looks super intimidating and has an erratic fighting pattern; making him difficult to predict.

If you go to the south of Wakukau Shoal, you’ll see a large dimensional rift. Interacting with it will summon this large creature and trigger the boss fight. Now that you know where to find the Golden Woldlord, let’s talk about his attacks.

Attacks and Abilities

Attacks and Abilities Genshin

Since this is a flying enemy, you will have a tough time if you try to melee it. Most of the time, your attacks won’t even reach him let alone damage him. So, you will have to use ranged attacks and characters for this fight. Here are all the major abilities of the Golden Wolflord:

  • Corrosion
  • Laser Beam
  • Geo Projectiles

Out of these three main attacks, you’ll have to watch out for the laser beam the most. It deals a ton of damage and can potentially one-shot your character. Luckily, this attack isn’t that difficult to dodge. He fires it in a sort of a semi-circle. Keep running in the opposite direction and if you have a head start, it will never catch up with you.

His Corrosion is a debuff – like all other Rifthounds – that deals damage over time to all of your characters. This only happens if you get hit by any of his attacks. While you can technically avoid this, but dodging all the attacks is quite difficult.

The Geo Projectiles attack is an interesting one for sure. When he uses it, the projectiles will lock onto your character’s location and come crashing down. To avoid this, you’ll have to continuously keep moving without getting hit. Otherwise, your character might get staggered.

Things to Watch Out For

Overall, once you notice the attack patterns of the Wolflord, you’ll be able to telegraph them relatively easily. However, once he reaches 50% HP, things get more difficult. He spawns in three Rifthound totem spirits that surround him and give him a shield. You cannot deal damage to the Wolflord while his shield is active.

The only way to remove it is to destroy the three spirits. Be careful though, since the Golden Wolflord will fire a large AOE attack that deals a lot of damage. Once you take out the three pesky spirits, the Wolflord will come crashing down to the ground, leaving it wide open to attacks. He is stunned for a few seconds but he will take additional damage during this phase. Make the best of it and try to deal as much damage as you can.

Riftborn Regalia Reward

After taking down this mighty beast, you will be rewarded with the Riftborn Regalia. This item is used to advance Arataki Itto – who is set to release soon. It is a good idea to farm this item right now so you have it once Arataki comes out. Fully leveling up Arataki will require about 46 Regalias – which will take some time to farm.

That about does it for your guide about how to beat Golden Wolflord in Genshin Impact. Following this guide will allow you to easily reach him and defeat him without any hassle. While the fight can take some time to get used to, it isn’t necessarily difficult once you know how to dodge his main attacks. Keep your distance and try to circle around the edge of the arena for maximum benefit.
