Activision has just announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1 will be releasing on the 16th of December. The date also marks the day when Call of Duty: Warzone will become a part of Black Ops Cold War.
Black Ops Cold War is the next installment for the popular Call of Duty franchise following COD: Modern Warfare. The previous installment brought with it Call of Duty: Warzone, a free Battle Royale game mode that players can download and play as a stand-alone game. Activision has promised that Warzone will integrate with each subsequent installment of Call of Duty.
Release Date and Bundles
Currently, there are no leaks regarding what Season 1 has posted for us. But the developers have been quite keen on sharing some information regarding the game. Activision has hyped up the fact that Warzone will be getting a massive content update.
The Battle Royale game will be moving out of its previous map, Verdansk, and moving towards a new map whenever it launches. Moreover, it will be featuring about 30 new Black Ops Cold War weapons as well as Blueprints with a new Gulag experience as well.

However, before Season 1 comes along, there are a few rewards you should know about. Firstly, there’s a double XP and double weapon XP event coming on December 12th.

There will be two free bundles for a limited time, with the only prerequisite being logging in between December 8th till the 15th of the same month. Here are all the details:

The first Content Update for the game will be releasing on the 8th of December, mainly just a quality of life update. You can expect Season 1 to roll out on the 16th of December. Expect a huge update size as well.
