Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Content Update Adds Fan-Favorite Map, Releasing Today

Treyarch recently unveiled their next major update for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War which is adding a fan favorite map for multiplayer from a past entry in the series. The new map makes a return from Call of Duty Black Ops 1 which is a remastered version of WMD.

Aside from the map, the update is also adding the Vargo 52 Assault Rifle for multiplayer and zombies, as well as a new Tracer pack called, “Ferro Fury Reactive Mastercraft Bundle”. This will be the game’s first new content update for the year 2022, and the developers have promised more content soon.

For more details on the patch Treyarch have put out a blog post noting down all the changes.

Treyarch describes the map as: “Expect a lot of action around the central Production Facility and bring backup when navigating the treacherous roads. Climb just about anything and everything to get the most out of this map, as verticality is the name of the game here.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and more recently Call of Duty: Vanguard both had relatively lukewarm launch in comparison to many of the past entries due to which Activision finally took a step in the right direction and announced that the series will be going on a hiatus for this year, which will be the first break of the series in about 20 years since its inception.
