eFootball 2022 v1.0.0 Releases April 14, Adds Dream Team and Other Changes

The eFootball 2022 development team has just announced on Twitter that the game’s latest major update 1.0.0 will launch on April 14. The update will be bringing in major changes to the game as well as completely new additions such as “Dream Team” where players can create their teams of choice. The developers have also said that they will be supporting the game with further updates in due time.

eFootball is an association football simulation video game developed and published by Konami. It is a free-to-play game after being completely rebranded from the original Pro Evolution Soccer series to the eFootball series. The first new entry in the franchise which is titled eFootball 2022, release on 30 September 2021. After a delay of 4 months or more, the first major patch is now finally coming out.

New Additions in eFootball 2022 v1.0.0

The latest update in eFootball is filled to the brim with new balance changes. The biggest addition in the new update for eFootball v1.0.0 is the addition of dream team. The developers posted on Twitter stating that:

“There will also be the addition of the game mode “Dream Team” – previously introduced as “Creative Team” – in which players can enjoy building their own team and take on other “Dream Teams” from around the world.”

The developers have also mentioned that they will continue updating eFootball 2022 stating that:

“We will continue to update the game to make it even more enjoyable for everyone, utilising the received feedback from our users.”

eFootball launched to an abysmal reception from critics, the game was critically panned by most major outlets which heavily criticized the game for its bad AI, unenjoyable gameplay and stiff, broken animations, while praising the game for its new Free to Play model. We can only hope with future updates the game can reach the levels that it was aiming for.
