Fix Far Cry 6 “Your GPU may not be compatible” Error

Far Cry 6 has been in deep waters, facing tons of bugs and issues since launch. A common error prompt players have been receiving is the “Your GPU may not be compatible”, leaving players confused and disheartened at the same time. As many people have posted their fix for the problem, the most common solution which has worked for everyone has been to update their OS to the latest version of Windows 10. You won’t be able to play the game if you’re using anything less than the up-to-date version of Windows 10. If you’re unaware of how to go about updating your Windows,, follow the steps below:

  • Open your Windows Settings
  • Click on Update & Security
  • After that, click on Check for updates

  • Restart your PC for the installation to complete

After updating your OS, you should also update your video drivers to the latest version. As v471.12 Nvidia is not the latest driver anymore, it is plausible that you’ve missed the recent update which could be causing the error.
