PC Fans, rejoice! God of War is finally coming to the PC and we have the Steam release date for you right here. Once rumoured to be a PlayStation exclusive, it seems like Santa Monica Studios, the developers behind the fabled game, are spreading their wings with the upcoming 2022 release timeline set for God of War on PC.
The game itself is said to be a complete port of the PS4 / PS5 version. As such, you can expect the same visuals, graphics, audio and cinematics from the console release. However, there’s a few new features that will be coming out exclusively for the PC version that you should definitely know about.

The game is available for pre-purchase right now on Steam. God of War PC will be releasing on January 14, 2022 on Steam and the Epic Games Store. It is priced at about $40 to $60 depending on your region.

God of War PC will consist of a few new features that are exclusive to the platform
The game will now be running in true 4k resolutions with uncapped frame rates for smooth frame rates. There will be a range of graphical presets and options that include higher resolution shadows, screen-space reflections as well as GTAO and SSDO.
DLSS and Reflex Support
God of War PC will have NVIDIA DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) support to allow for beautiful visuals at a lower cost using AI. Plus, NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency will allow you to react much quicker and go for harder combos on select NVIDIA cards.
With support for Dualshock and Dualsense controllers, God of War PC will also support numerous other controllers and gamepads alongside conventional mouse and keyboard support.
Ultra Wide Support
God of War PC will have Ultra Wide support allowing you to play the game in panoramic widescreen and 21:9 ultra-wide screen as well.
