SNK has just announced King of Fighters XV and will be bringing an Open Beta Test on PlayStation to help players reconnect with the iconic franchise! The beta will include a new playable character, Deolores, an online Versus mode, and the introduction of new special moves and combat strategies.
The KOF15 Open Beta is meant to provide players with a glimpse of what to expect from the game when it is initially released. As usual, there will be a few changes between the Beta and the actual release of the game. SNK generally is quite receptive to community feedback. So, make sure to give your input! How To Join King of Fighters XV Open Beta Test:
You’ll be able to download the King of Fighters XV Open Beta directly from the PlayStation Store as is with any other major Open Beta release. Moreover, while there isn’t any progression in King of Fighters XV per se, we can anticipate that all match progres you make throughout the duration of the Open Beta will be wiped.
Here are the steps you need to follow to access the Open Beta in the Play Station Store:
- Open the PSN Store Link for King of Fighters XV Open Beta
- If the Beta is available, you’ll be able to download the game
- Once you have downloaded the game, take a look at the timings below to see if the beta is available at your current time
- If it is, launch the game. You should be able to login promptly.

- PST: Nov. 19th 19:00 – 22nd 06:59
- CET: Nov. 20th 04:00 – 22nd 15:59
- JST: Nov. 20th 12:00 – 22nd 23:59
Will King of Fighters 15 Open Beta Have An Online Mode?
Yes, it will! The game will have two online modes, Casual and Room Match. You can also hit the Training Room and Versus against an AI offline. You’ll also be able to play the game’s newest game mode, Draft Vs as well.
King of Fighters XV Open Beta Characters
Eight iconic characters from the KOF franchise will be released in the initial Open Beta. They are:
- Dolores
- Shun’ei
- Yashiro
- Shermie
- Chris
- Kyo Kusangi
- Iori Yagami
- Chizuru Kagura
The developers will reportedly be adding in more characters at the initial release of the game.
