Lack of Content for Red Dead Online Angers Fans, Raises Twitter Hashtag

Rockstar Games announced the update that Red Dead Online will get in January 2022, and it angered fans – and rightfully so. The update allows players to earn bonus experience points while playing A Land of OpportunitiesCall to Arms, and Gang hideouts. Fans were already furious with Rockstar after the recent GTA Trilogy drama and lack of attention to their titles.

Rockstar Games gives all their love to GTA Online as they introduced their collab with Dr Dre. To say that it feels unfair will be going easy on Rockstar Games. It has been over 3-years since Red Dead Redemption 2 came out, and – apart from the brilliant single-player – Rockstar has mostly neglected their wild west simulator.

Fans Furious Over Lack of Content in Red Dead Online

Naturally, the community took to social media to voice their disappointment. Fans started the hashtag “SaveRedDeadOnline” after seeing how poorly the game was being handled. The worst part is that the bonus XP is supposed to last through the entire month. This means that Rockstar had nothing planned for January for their latest title.

Below, you’ll find several of the more outspoken and prominent community members explaining why they aren’t happy.

It’s a shame that Rockstar Games isn’t giving good content to Red Dead Online like with GTA Online. Red Dead Redemption 2 has one of the best campaigns and stories of all time. The open-world is well-built and feels lived in by the NPCs. If Rockstar focuses on the online version, fans would have a great time and would be willing to forgive Rockstar for their lack of attention.

Rockstar Games needs to drastically rethink its formula and give some attention to Red Dead Online. Recently, fans have been mocking the once-beloved company. Let us know in the comments below your thoughts regarding this matter.
